Review: Apple Phone Show

Apple Phone Show logoScott Bourne hosts this well-produced Apple iPhone podcast. Each week Bourne presents the latest news regarding the iPhone, bringing friends such as Andy Ihnatko and Chris Breen to help. The major problem with the Apple Phone Show is its lack of attention to the native 3rd party application community.

9/10 Entertainment value
If you are after iPhone news, this is an excellent source.
7/10 Quality of content
The shows are generally well researched and current, though very often exact same points will be made by Breen and Ihnatko in their separate segments. Also, Bourne does his best to completely ignore the 3rd party community.
10/10 Production quality
By far the best produced iPhone podcast.
7/10 Lasting appeal
A long-term subscription for iPhone lovers, no doubt, but I don’t see why you’d want to re-listen to existing episodes. Mind you, Andy Ihnatko provides the odd laugh.
10/10 Reliability
Every week on the dot.
7.5/10 Overall
If you don’t own an iPhone then there is no reason to subscribe, but if you do, then this is a great source of information.  The problem is with Bourne’s not paying enough attention to the 3rd party community. Also, Scott Bourne’s fanboyism can rub some people up the wrong way.
